dhakai jamdani bd

Make sure that the length of the saree is even all the way and it is well adjusted. Wear your footwear to properly adjust the length of the saree. Hold the top edge of the saree with the decoration. Take that end of the dhakai jamdani saree once around you from left to right and then back on to the left shoulder. Before putting it on the left shoulder make 5-7 pleats and then put in your left shoulder. The ideal length for hanging the pallu is till your knee level. Now gather the rest of the saree at the navel and make pleats out of it. Just pull in the shoulder pleats originating from the right side of the body to make it a little tighter. And now gather all the remaining jamdani saree. There will be some loose cloth remaining which is used to make pleats. Use your right hand to make the pleats by alternating action of the thumb finger and the pinkie while with the left hand to move the cloth back and forth.  Make sure that the pleats are all of the same length and aligned. After the alignment tuck these pleats into the petticoat tightly. You can use a safety pin to secure them tight enough. You can adjust the shoulder pleats by either gathering them together or keeping the pallu a little loose so that all of the left hand is covered with it. The former is used in a formal fashion , while the latter is used more in a casual manner. The elegance of a saree can be observed from the fact that it looks extraordinarily beautiful on women of any shape, height, age. It is one of those few dresses whose comfort can be unparalleled and it reveals the curves of a woman in the most splendid manner without any scope for obscenity. Saree symbolizes the classic attire of one of the oldest civilizations. Though a bangladeshi jamdani saree is deeply rooted in Indian culture, yet it is more popular as a fashion wear as well. A Saree is an unstitched long strip of cloth with various patterns and sizes ranging from four to nine meter in length that is draped over the body in different styles. Even with the outburst of the western culture and clothes, Indian people particularly the woman have the same kind of respect and love for a saree as did their ancestors. After wearing the blouse and petticoat, starting from the navel, tuck the simpler end of the saree into the petticoat and secure it. Go on tucking the upper end of the saree into the petticoat all around the navel and come back right where you have started.
